Access
Tibidabo Amusement Park has a number of entrances. Some of them are only open if visitor numbers are higher than usual.
The main entrance (500m above seal level) doesn't present any accessibility problems.
Itinerary
The park is set out on six different levels and there are two adapted lifts for all members of the public. However, access to some of the levels is restricted and people with reduced mobility will have to ask a member of staff for assistance.
The lifts have Braille and tactile signs as well as acoustic signals when they stop at each level.
In addition to the lift, there is a series of ramps that connect different areas of the park. As the park is located in a steep area, some of the ramps that lead to particular zones of the park are very steep and some people with reduced mobility may require assistance.
Adapted toilet
There are adapted toilets on levels 1 and 6.
The adapted cubicle on level 1 has good accessibility. The only aspect that may hinder access is the folding door which opens inwards, although the dimensions of the cubicle make it possible to manoeuvre without difficulty.
There are two adapted toilets on level 6, one for men and another for women. The cubicles present a number of accessibility problems. The dimensions are small and access is complicated by the fact that the doors open inwards. Furthermore, the sink has been placed in such a way that people have to enter sideways if they want to use the toilet.
Reserved parking spaces
There are a large number of parallel parking spaces for people with reduced mobility. The spaces are slightly narrower than required by accessibility guidelines in order to guarantee manoeuvrability for wheelchair users. However, in view of the fact that there are more than enough spaces, visitors can always occupy two parking spaces and remove their vehicles without any difficulty.
The spaces are located at the nearest point to the entrances to the park. The road between the car park and the main entrance is steep and wheelchair users may have problems crossing unaided.
Alternative communication systems
At the time of writing, there is no information available as to whether there are audioguides or special systems for the deaf and hearing-impaired. There is information available on the official website.
