Access
To enter the Museum del F.C.Barcelona visitors have to take an escalator or lift to an upper floor. The lift fully complies with accessibility requirements, except for the fact that it has no Braille or tactile button panels to enable the visually impaired to use it unaided. There is no tactile signage for the visually impaired next to the lift on any of the landings.
Once visitors have reached the upper floor, they go along a walkway to the Museum entrance. Although the ramp is fairly long and has no intermediate platforms, the fact that it is moderately sloping means that people with reduced mobility can move along it without difficulty.
Museum
The Museum is set out on two floors connected by a staircase and two ramps. The gradient of the ramps complies with accessibility guidelines. The only major difficulty for certain people with reduced mobility is the fact that some of the flights of steps only have handrails on one side.
There are slight variations in level on the first floor which are bridged by a series of ramps that present no major difficulties. In addition to the ramps, there is an area of steps which provides no alternative access for wheelchair users.
The Museum staff can place mobile ramps over the steps so that people with mobility difficulties can visit this part of the Museum or gain access to the stands and tour the stadium. Nevertheless, these mobile ramps do not comply with the accessibility requirements so that people in wheelchairs can use them safely.
The second floor also has an area of steps but there are plans to install ramps that will make it possible to visit the entire floor.
Adapted toilet
There is an adapted toilet in the men's and ladies' lavatories. The adapted cubicles have been correctly designed and comply with most accessibility requirements.
