Information about disabled access to the areas of the Olympic Ring included on sightseeing tours.
Access
There are different entrances to the Olympic Ring which provide good disabled access.
Olympic Ring itinerary
The paths and areas in the Olympic Ring are extremely wide, providing wheelchair users with sufficient space to move around comfortably and safely, despite high visitor numbers.
The Olympic Ring is set out on different levels and equipped with a series of ramps and staircases that connect the different points of the Olympic Ring. The gently sloping ramps pose no problems, in this respect, for people with reduced mobility. The only difficulty that may arise for some people comes from the lack of handrails and the fact that some of the ramps are extremely long and have no intermediate platforms.
Olympic Stadium
The stadium has an accessible entrance at street level (on the Avinguda de l'Estadi) providing unrestricted access for people with reduced mobility.
During the tour of the stadium, the bar-restaurant is fully accessible. The tables are of the correct height and dimensions for wheelchair users. The only drawback is the service counter which is not at a height suitable for wheelchair users or other people with mobility difficulties.
Adapted toilet
There is no adapted toilet in the part of the stadium included on public tours. In addition to this, users have to go down a flight of steps to reach the toilets.
Alternative communication systems
Requests for information can be made by e-mail. In addition to this, there is a website where users can look up a variety of information.
At the time of writing, there is no information available as to whether there are alternative communication systems for the sensorially impaired.
